Finn Carroll
Finn Carroll is a Montana-born bassist and improviser based in New York City. Her music straddles the past and future of folk, noise, and jazz to create a timeless sonic world. She studied with Reggie Workman and Mary Halvorson at The New School who instilled in her a reverence for tradition and an insatiable curiosity for new sounds. Carroll plays in a wide array of groups, from the punk-tinged folk band The Recession Special to her own jazz and ambient projects under the stage moniker Stovepipe Rides Again.
