Denver born Trumpeter/Composer/Improvisor Kenny Warren has been based in Brooklyn in since 2006. He has released over a dozen records of his own music with a wide range of ensembles, most recently with his trio Sweet World with Christopher Hoffman and Nathan Ellman-Bell (Out of Your Head Records). Warren's music centers free expression and sonic exploration and draws inspiration from jazz and folk music traditions from the Americas and around the world. He is a founding member of a collective with BlankFor.ms and Carlo Costa, and of the band Slow Tiger whose debut LP will be released on Endectomorph Music in July. Warren also plays with the Angelica Sanchez Nonet, two stellar Stephan Crump ensembles: Passerine and Slow Water, and the Barbés brass band institution Slavic Soul Party. He has toured on 5 continents, and in 2025 he was recognized as a rising star in Downbeat Magazine's critics poll.
