Marta Sanchez is a piano player in composer originally from Spain. Since she came to New York, she has released 4 records with her quintet, two of them selected as one of the best 10 jazz records of the year by The New York Times (in 2015 and 2019). Besides her work as a leader, she plays with the David Murray Quartet and Oscar Noriega Quartet and collaborate with many other musicians. She got a MacDowell grant in 2017 and 2021.
