Neta Raanan
Neta Raanan is a tenor saxophonist and composer raised in New Jersey, whose love of jazz was sparked by the iconic photos of Bird, Dizzy, Monk, and Lester Young lining the walls of New York City record stores. As a teenager, she immersed herself in creative music workshops, youth ensembles, and regular visits to the Village Vanguard, where she encountered artists like Paul Motian and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. She went on to study at Berklee College of Music, where she gathered influences from iconic teachers and peers. After earning her Master’s in Music, Neta has pursued a life in creative music, collaborating across a wide range of genres. Her work spans folk, hip-hop, singer-songwriter accompaniment, and mixed-medium productions.
