Rita Wang
Ms. Wang has established herself as an internationally active soloist and chamber musician. Following her solo debut at age eleven in Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, Ms. Wang has performed in renowned venues across the United States, Canada, Europe, South America, and East Asia.
In 2018 Ms. Wang received the 5th place at the XXI Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig, after having won the 1st prize at the Coer d’Alene Young Concert Artist Competition, 3rd prize at the Fischoff Competition and the 1st prize at the International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition. Her strong passions towards different genre of music and performance roles have led her to collaborate with artists of diverse contexts, including Jaap ter Linden, Cynthia Roberts, Michael Lynn, Lee Hyla, Christian Wolff, Anna Chumachenko, Midori, Robert McDonald, the members of the Juilliard String Quartet, Cleveland Quartet, Bretano Quartet, Shanghai Quartet, A Far Cry, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
