Caroline Morton
Caroline Morton (b. 2003, Norwalk CT) is an NYC based upright bassist, vocalist and composer working within many different genres but orienting themself primarily in the tradition of Improvised/Experimental Music. Caroline is entering their third year of undergraduate studies at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, where they have had the incredible privilege of studying with esteemed musicians Reggie Workman, Jane Ira Bloom, Billy Martin, Luke Stewart, Wendy Eisenberg, Mary Halvorson, and many more. Caroline’s music can be found primarily on SoundCloud under the name CaroMorto, where you will find some of their older solo projects alongside a more recent EP project of improvised music in collaboration with musicians Samantha Kochis, Selendis Sebastian Alexander Johnson, AJ Medeiros, Kayla Kessler, Iz Kinsey, and Celine Kang.
