Nathan Chamberlain
Nathan Chamberlain (he/him) is an indigenous Latinx guitarist, composer, and improvisor based in New York City, blending his indigenous background with his jazz upbringing as a basis for his voice. His work has been praised for ""breaking through the commonplace for a memorable experience"" (Ken Waxman, jazzword.com) and delves into the contemporary indigenous identity through reinterpretations of traditional musical forms. Chamberlain holds a Masters in Music from the New School, and his work was showcased in the commissioned piece for the Interwoven exhibit by Cho-Thompson Architects, premiered at Madison Square Park in November 2021. Additionally, he recently collaborated with Paul Sakai on the album When We Gathered by the Sea, released in March 2023.
