Charity Morrison
Charity Morrison is a Manhattan-based freelance horn player, composer, and inquisitive creative whose work draws on a diverse life experience. As a versatile, multigenre performer, Charity has played with groups such as the Phoenix Symphony, St. Bart’s Players, Ensemble 212, and Louise Baranger & Friends, and was named 2023–2025 Artist-in-Residence at Mirabella, where she extensively presented community-oriented musical programming. Charity’s compositional voice emphasizes expressive lyricism, always seeking to integrate meaning beyond the music. Charity holds a Bachelor’s in Music, Chinese, and English from the University of North Texas, and a Masters in Horn Performance from Arizona State University. Her professional affiliations include Mu Phi Epsilon, the International Women’s Brass Conference (IWBC), Maestra Music, and the International Alliance of Women in Music.
