Dan Pencer
Daniel holds a Master’s Degree from the New England Conservatory and a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Toronto. He spent eight months studying Hindustani Classical music in Lucknow, India where he focused on clarinet and bansuri. He attended the World Music (Persian and Eastern traditions) residency and more recently the Collective Composition Lab for Music and Dance at the Banff Centre for the Arts. Daniel has been teaching music for close to 20 years to all ages and skill levels. He has taught saxophone and clarinet at the University of Toronto, the New England Conservatory’s Jazz Lab and the New England Conservatory Preparatory Department.
