In 2023, Metropolis Ensemble brought new music to new places, celebrating New York City’s diverse neighborhoods. Our free pop-up concert series, Biophony Pop-Up NYC, returned to dozens of pedestrian plazas, public parks, and open streets across the city, with participation from NYC Department of Transportation and Make Music New York.

Biophony Pop-Up NYC 2023 is presented by Metropolis Ensemble in collaboration with NYC Department of Transportation, with additional support from Make Music New York.
